Rachel Wise
Art Historian
Dr. Rachel Wise is an early modern art historian with a primary research focus on the intersection of politics, religion, violence, and technological change in northern Europe. Most recently, she has held a Belgium American Educational Foundation postdoctoral fellowship at the Rubenianum in Antwerp, Belgium. Her publications have centered on prints, linens, and counters produced during the Eighty Years’ War (1568–1648). She teaches undergraduate art history courses and mentors high school students through Geneva International Education on art history research projects.
