Caroline Cassinelli

Project Officer

Caroline Cassinelli is a media anthropologist, communications specialist, and educator with extensive international experience across cultural institutions, academic environments, and global organizations. She most recently served as an Associate Programme Officer in the Social Sciences and Humanities Sector at UNESCO in Paris.

Caroline holds a Master of Arts in Visual and Media Anthropology from Media University in Berlin, and a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in History from the University of British Columbia, with a thesis focused on Deaf representation in American media. Her career spans research roles with the Diversity Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of Toronto, as well as programmatic positions at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage and the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. She is also a lecturer at Media University, teaching courses on contemporary museum challenges.
